This is a wonderful opportunity to promote reading and literacy in this age group in our community, and to promote reading aloud as  an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Aims & Objectives

  • Promote the love of reading

  • Support, encourage and impart knowledge to parents & caregivers on the importance of reading to their children from infancy

  • Facilitate the coming together of communities, libraries, authors, publishers and other key stakeholders

  • Support emerging and established Queensland & Australian authors

  • Promote libraries as the cultural hub of their communities

Major partners

  • The Courier-Mail

  • The State Library of Queensland

  • ABC Radio 612

Each month three books will be selected to help people choose age appropriate quality books to read aloud to their children. Book lists and free activity sheets will be available on the website www.thelittlebigbookclub.com.au
